2 days left to write my last greetings cards .

I was looking around my shop and look what kind of details I discovered

 

a little sticker under a perfume bottle saying Bouquet de la reine.
I'm sure I would love this perfume. But the bottle is empty

After reading Melissa's post ,let's think about why I love Christmas

20.Thinking one day after ( on the 26th ) it is my mum's birthday

 

Hot wine

On saturday , it was

• friends
• smiles
• laughing
• sharing
• wine
• warmness

My friends shared their smiles ,they were laughing, in a warm , cosy ambiance and they were sharing a glass of red hot wine

 

Here is the recipe

1 liter of red wine of Provence

150g of caster sugar

skin of orange

a pinch of nutmeg

4 cloves

cinnamon

slices of lemon

 

Make heat the wine slowly with the skin of orange, cloves, the sugar and the nut of nutmeg during a dozen minutes. Bring to the boil then by lowering the fire let boil slowly during 2/3 minutes. Withdraw some fire. Add cinamon and let soak. Withdraw the skin of orange and the cloves and serve hot with a slice of lemon.

After the party , it was so good that nothing was left

I think I found some little treasures and I can easily imagine that some can be on a christmas list 

first plan : enameled ring holder( 33 euro) , enameled glass (28 euro) ,victorian perfume box and "carnet de bal " (45 euro)

there were more treasures ..more to come

Noel ( christmas) In Provence : les santons

Today I found (chiner ) perfect things for my new christmas 2008 display :

I found little figures called santons ...

 

I particularly love this one..they all have a name . This one is "le boulanger (baker )

 

here are some of the others santons I found : le pêcheur (fisher ) , le boulanger and le meunier ( miller )

I love these ones becaise they have a lovely patina

Provencal christmas is full of traditions , I'll try to share it with you all along this month.
Today we have planted the seeds of wheat , to have a flourishing year ...

I will show you some pictures

and today is also a special day it is my Dad's birthday ...I have the chance to be abble to celebrate it with him surrounded by most of my family
