The petit cabanon was full

of dust

of spiders

but of little treasures

 

buttons for a princess in an enameled cup

little religious miniatures : small little virgen ...

 

three different mirrors ...so we can make an accumulation

 

hunting buttons

and a lot of ceramics from french hotel

 

china from Marseilles's hotels and restaurant

 

coffee cups from hotel and by the way , do you know what is the 1st plan object for ??

 

inkwell and little treasures ....

well all these little antiques are just a little idea of what was in this little cabanon

A lot of you may know I work with my family !

A lot of you may know I love photos

Thanks to internet and blogging I have met somebody and above all an artist I want to share with you  !

As you will understand it is about photo and about family !

The father Robin Moore Ede is an interior designer

and the son Piers Moore Ede is a writer and photographer, winner of the  DH Lawrence Prize for travel writing

they have combined their talents to create little beauties :

They make something special  "watergraphs" : the marriage of a photograph and a watercolour !

It is printed onto an handmade paper from India , the khadi ,it is a ppaer coming from an ancient tradition of paper making , and the factory which supplies their paper provides employment for 47 poeple in rural india !

I love this : mix of tradition and  modern technics and commerce équitable  ( fair business ? is it the proper words ? )

some are from the XIX th century and in a very good shape

 

Isn't he cute with his little fingers and feet ?

My client : are you nimble ?

Me : not too much

my client : I wanted you  to climb up the ladder , there are some stuff I stocked in my cupboard , I wanted to show you !

Me : I'm not very nimble but I SURELY can look at your "stuffs"

what is in my panier ( bag) ?

After a sunny week end ,I went from flea market to flea market , my panier ( bag ) is full . I almost needed a big truck ( I'm kidding)

They are in my heart and already somewhere in my show room

They are looking for the right place to be until someone will take them home with them

Antiques therapy started a game I wanted to play

Choose your favorite piece of antiques !

As Shawn from country french antiques wrote , it is almost impossible .
But well I tried to choose :

Now I am in a mood for religious things so ......

the winner is

Actually I've  choosen 2 of them , an ex voto heart from my collection , I sold some of these wonderful hearts but I decided to keep some and to make wishes and a wooden baby jesus from the late XVII th century I've just bought it and for me it is a gorgeous piece, it seems real , I love " his " face !

I collect this ex voto hearts , because I love the shape and the meanings of this thing ,it is related to wishes  and  FAITH

It was pretty hard to choose .

Baby Jesus ( even if I love it ) is already to sell in my show room

It is a curious feeling to see your antiques , your photos loved and " cherished" by others !

You see your pieces  every day, so after a certain time you don't really see it as beautiful and as rare as it is . But by seeing them on another blog , with the words of others they have a new meaning ...they look different !

( I hope I make myself clear about this feeling , it is hard to explain it in english , sorry for that )
