Today , For lunch I've been to an exposition in Marseilles
Called :
DESSINS DE PIERRE BONNARD ( drawings of Pierre Bonnard)
MUSEE CANTINI MAY 12TH TO SEPTEMBER 2ND
One part of Bonnard's Art is mostly inspired by japanese art , in particularly japanese etching's art .
I love this part , Japanese art and inspiration are so great , it creates such a zen attitude and decoration
It is very minimalist but it means so much
So his drawings reminds me the inflence of Japan in decoration .
I look around me and I've found some fabrics and things I want to share with you
Pair of XIXth century large plate in japanese porcelain , the drawing is so modern
Geishas design fabric from Gaston , in sale in our show room .( price 88 euro / meter) others colors
Ikebana design fabric from Brochier (price 114 euro / meter, others colors available), in sale in our show room . I love this fabric that reminds me the japanese floral art
Tricia Guild also was inspired by Japan in her last collection , available in our show room
I lived in Japan as a child and still feel the influence, I love the ikebana fabric.
Nice post!
