Story of Avignon

Despite of your Best Wishes of success .

The success and the " richness" were not at the rendez vous in Avignon .

There were a lot of professionals for all over the world .

I've met some americans , some russians , a lot of Italians as always , also lituanians , Turkish ....

But there were all looking for the " mouton à cinq pattes " as we say in France that it to say something that doesn't exist . have you ever seen a sheep with 5 legs ??

I guess NO

Well , I managed to sell some furniture , and beautiful paintings ...

I took some pictures but I didn't like very much the ambiance of THAT september's fair

Anyway , even if this time I didn't appreciate this fair a lot I invite you to come to this affair , it is such a pradise for antiques dealers, you can find castle's furniture , carroussel , fabulous garden antiques !! If one day you want to come , ask me and I would be happy to help you !

The best thing of this day is that I've met Fifi's sister , I was packing around 1. PM when I saw her ,We talked a little bit but I didn't think about taking a picture to show you that the blog's world is so wonderful. She doesn't have a blog but she has a Bed and Breakfast

Around 2  PM my dad's van was ready to come back home with all our treasures

Dear Melanie,
Sorry that the show wasn't the best. Some people don't understand all of the effort that is involved in preparing for, packing, setting up, selling, tearing downing down and restocking the store. But this "show girls" knows what you are talking about.
On a happy note, you got to meet Fifi's sister!! Sylvie's Bed and Breakfast in Avignon is a TEN in my book! Thank you for sharing!

i know all about fairs, visiting them when i had a interior boutique as well. some of them are just beautifully decorated inside a good ambiance and others you regret having spend the money for traveling.
i love the ancient blue panels. looking forward to your next fair mélanie.
