Today ,I wanted to share an icon in french decoration :
Madeleine Castaing
She was a fabulous interior decorator, an antique dealer, a collector, and avant gardist . She revolutionized decoration art and she was also patron of wonderful painters such as Chaim Soutine
Thanks to french traditional factories we can still use and buy her creation
I sell her fabrics in my show room .her fabrics are now published by Maison Petit
I have 2 common points with her : interior decoration and antiques ...
I love this pattern , it is so timeless , 115 euro / m
I use a lot this one , above all in empire ( Napoléon) style decoration
This room from Elle decor is so wonderful , I think they just need a better upholsterer or to refix the upholstery
castiglione pattern : 105 / m
embroidery rayures : 160 euro /m
Rayure : 75 euro / m
Picture in elle deco , look the wonderful castiglione pattern
rayure fleurie pattern : 70 euro/m
I love this 50's glamour garden chairs ..this Madeleine castaing's fabric just looks wonderful on it ...
You can also buy some Madelaine Castaing 's rug such as animal print
For me , she is an example . She put neoclassical style forward.
her decoration style and art is just timeless.
Thank you Madeleine !!
I know some of you bloogers , share my opinion .Check Peak of Chic post

I love that first room!
The slipper chair has an interesting pattern. Do you have an idea what it is?
I'll have to come back with a bit more time. I am a bit bogged down today, but the sun is shining from a brilliantly blue sky, so everything's fine.
May your sky be as blue as ours here,
love,
M.
