I'm so happy with my today's find :
une creche : a nativity
My antiques shop is in Aubagne and Aubagne is the birthplace of the santons
They are small terracotta litlle figures and they represent the provencal life and nativity .
I love the old santons because they are very naive and all the figures seems so kind and gentle.
I would love to live in their world .
I collect old santons but this time I'm very happy because it is an entire world so I have my nativity for christmas time . It will be so nice in my decoration in my shop . I hope I'm not going to sell it very fast ..
Look at my cute crèche : I love the 2 angels ...for price of the entire creche contact me
these animals are adorable
Look at the small details
My favorite character is " Lou Ravi " He is the happiest one in this small world
P.S : I know someone who is going to love my find ...
Hello Mélanie,
thank you for coming to my blog again to leave a friendly comment.
The little wooly sheep in your santons scene are lovely, especially the dark one, the "black sheep". I have a big heart for "black sheep", so I noticed it immediately.

i love
the little black sheep, too!
:-)
i think the nicest thing
is that every piece
seems so gentle
and the colors so muted.
how ever can you sell this collection?
i could never run a little shop!
i would never want to sell my sweet things...

Wow Melanie,
You are so lucky to be from the birth place of Santons, Aubugne!
You found such a soulful creche! You can tell it is handmade. The sheep are so sweet! And YES those angels have the cutest tummies!
You alway find the good treasure!

I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who hopes things won't sell TOO quickly in my shop! (I hope they sell, but in a while - I like to visit first!)
