Guess what ?
I can not set up a stand in an antiques fair without having a piece or something about upholstery ( it is an addiction , a family's love or a love of my family ...well I don't know)
OK, this chair is old fashioned and traditional upholstery, it is an Original XVIII th armchair
For this special antiques fair, I asked my dad to make for me a pair of "Napoléon III crapaud "armchairs , they were original padded with buttons and he entirely remade them and put a fabric I chose : a kind of ethnic modern one ! and I LOVE THEM
There weren't ready for the 1st day and my dad told me , he could't do them on time but here they are ( and you can not even imagine how excited I am)
Victorian capitonné pair of crapauds
Oh Melanie... these chairs are incredible!!! I love the beautiful pattern in the upholstery fabic, and the tufting.... magnifique! I even think your shopping bags for your store are grand!

I must say that although black and white in decoration are not my favorite, these crapauds are absolutely gorgeous. A real work of art. Everything, the chair, the upholstery and the fabric show great taste. Un regal pour les yeux.

These are stunning. You are so lucky to have such a talented Dad. I have to travel nearly 50 miles to my upholsterer.

Melanie, you have a real flair for upholstery in the family; this chair would make a great conversation piece in an eclectic salon. Send a pic to Marie Claire Maison!
