Room with Les Olivades fabrics : typically XVIII th century provencal spirit
Let me introduce you to a provencal factory which I love to work : Les olivades
As always it is an old family factory. Les olivades is the only left factory to keep on in Provence the tradition of prints on toiles, tradition which have begun in Marseilles in 1648 .
You can visit their factory in Saint Etienne du Grès , it is fantastic . I can even be your guide.
The provencal prints on toile have a long historical story . Nowadays these provencal prints were fist coming from India
Toile de jouy from Les olivades , with a typically provencal color
Les olivades have made the choice to keep on producing their fabrics in France ,and they are very competitive . Indeed , their fabrics are very high quality , nevertheless they are very affordable..

Melanie!
These are so lovely.
I could imagine them in a beautiful, serene old house.
Just got back from visiting my friend Celeste, who missed visitng you in France this summer as you were a little too far inland.
She had a most beautiful time.
France is so much more civilized than the US!
All best wishes
