I've read a lot of posts about
why are we blogging?
what are we expecting ...?
I've read so many bloggers telling their stories about meeting others bloggers...
I haven't really shared with you before what blogging means to me ..
Each day, I'm wondering who is going to read my blog ?
I'm wondering is this post is going to interest anybody on internet ( except me )
I'm wondering is it worth it to share what I like ?
I'm going to tell you my answers , everyday hundreds of you are reading me , some are leaving comments . I don't answer to every comment , but every comment touches me
Everyday some posts have interest for some poeple and even if it is ONE , it is enough.
Everyday , I'm thinking YES it is worth it because I'm writing , I'm sharing, I'm abble have others point of view !!!
On Thursday, I've met a gem from the blogosphere, Mary
She came to visit me with her husband Jim and a beautiful present that she made
She knew every details of my " petit cabinet de curiosités "
I can tell she studied a lot before visiting
It was so touching to see that she was knowing my world ,she was knowing me and she wanted to know more
By writing a blog , we actually write a diary and YOU know me and you are part of my world as I'm part of YOURS !!!
Thanks for being there
MARY ...MERCI
Bravo!! Wonderful Post Melanie!!!
YOU and MARY got to meet! And SHE "gets" YOU!!!
I for one, feel extremely fortunate that you have your blog. It is a privileged to see what is going on in your world. I like good people, France and antiques and fabrics and creative souls like your family. You have a funny sense of humor too! You are part of my life thousands of miles away! Isn't life grand???
You have your petit cabinet to hold your words, thoughts and dreams in, and I feel most richly blessed!!!
Your grateful friend,
Constance

Hi Melanie
It is always a pleasure to pop over here and see what you have to offer the eager reader. Always something lovely to inspire me. As you know I always love to see the beautiful work you and your father create. Have a wonderful weekend. Julie

Exactly chere Mél. We are connecting ideas and people on the net. With our stories published on your little corners (blogs) we become stronger and informative, namely globalized ones:) Isn't it a good reason to appreciate?
I'm glad to see that you guys met each other. Liked the photo as well. Wishing you an inspiring nice weekend~~

Melanie, I love the red draperies with orange stripes behind you in this photo! So French, but real French (not Americans-playing-with-toile-deJouey French!). Are theses in your shop? Is it a border stripe fabric or did the atelier apply banding stripes in contrasting fabric over a solid red?
Some day I will visit your shop too, and you can post a photo of me crawling around looking to see how the draperies are made. ;-)
