If you love it - keep it!
Many years ago, before I was married, I bought some lovely things for the "daughter I would have some day". Well, God gave me two beautiful daughters (and one wonderful son too!). When my girls grew up I told them the story of the little treasures I bought them in flea markets in Madrid and Portugal, and it made them very happy.
