Once every four year ...
I would love to be born on the 29 th of february because that sounds diferent and I love difference !
The only sad part would be I love to have party and celebrate my birthday and in this case it would be only every 4 years
to follow with my balck posts : a XIX th century black and white picture , an oriental woman smoking , such a modern and diferent attitude in an old fashioned society
She is so beautiful, that she looks good smoking!
I like you because you like to be different!! Vivi la différence! Also, because you like to celebrate!!

My mother and my son were both born on Feb 28th.
My father on March Ist.
When my son was born in the middle of the night 28th feb/March Ist, they did not know at first whose birthday he shared!!!!
Every four years a day separated their birthdays.
Yes, the lady does look cool smoking but she is very bad and naughty - as I am.
I sneak the occasional Gitane!!

well celebrating your birthday once every four years would turn you four years younger, right?
not a bad idea mélanie!! ;)
love the the 'modern' image of a smoking oriental woman.
it did not seem to be that strange in those days... meanwhile the attitude has changed since then and very often not to the benefite of women or any other subject i guess! sad!

You always can throw a birthday party the day before or the day after, and every four years you get a big bash because your birthday is truly exceptional.
I think that her great grand daughter will never be able (allowed) to pose in such an attitude.

I have read that many period photographs of "Oriental" women actually might be of men dressed as women, since it was considered improper for a woman to drop her veil and be photographed.
