Maisons et objets : No photos

I know " no photos " from Maisons et objets : it souds like annoying , frustrating and boring.
I'm sorry but you are going to read me without having any image .

I want to talk to you about a feeling I had in this show and I want to share .

Photos were forbidden in the show ( I took some , I'm a gangster lol)

I don't really understand the meaning of this idea neither the point of view.

I talked with bloggers about it and I talked with exhibitors about it.

They don't want poeple to take pictures because of copyright , copies in China or others countries !

PLEASE , is it a joke????

1st : without any photos and advert , you can not be known .

2 nd : all theses exhibitors , the most "ferocious" about " no photos were all ready inspired by others , they were nothing new and unforgettable in their stands

3 rd : most of the part of their articles are made in China , and they are allready copies of "something

4 th : the only part of the show where I can " understand " this point of view is " the now" hall where you see design and creation ...

Photos in blogging help us to share and help brands to have more credit and importance into the world , so I don't see why I would give them any importance and any credit .  they just prefer to be copied from magazines and their own sites ...that's up to them.

NB : even the customers with press card had travelled to take pictures.

Je sais " pas de photos " de maisons et objets cela parait frustant , ennuyant et énervant.
Je suis désolée mais pour cet article , vous allez me lire sans les petites images qui sont parfois si distrayantes.
je veux vous parler d'un sentiment que j'ai eu sur le salon maisons et objets et que j'ai envie de partager.
Les photos étaient interdites sur le salon ( j'en ai pris tout de même quelques unes grâce à l'accord de mes partenaires intelligents et de toute façon je suis une " délinquante ")

Je ne comprends pas l' intêret de cette mesure , ni le point de vue des exposants

J'ai parlé de cela avec des bloggers et certains exposants qui ne veulent pas que nous prenons des photos à cause du copyright , des copies en Chine et autres pays .

S'il vous plait, Mr les exposants, c'est une blague lol lol

1 er : sans photos , ni publicités vous ne pouvez pas être connus

2 eme : tous les exposants et surtout les plus féroces à propos de " no photos " sont ceux qui se sont déjà inspirés des autres , il n'y avait rien à copier car rien de nouveau ni d'inoubliable ( ma mémoire me suffira) je ne vous cite pas les marques pour surtout pas leur faire de la pub .

3e :Leurs produits sont déjà faits en Chine et sont déjà la copie de quelque chose d'existant

4e : La seule partie du salon où je comprendre ce point de vue est la partie now où vous voyez de la création et du design et où l'on peut parler de copyright

A travers les blogs, les photos sont un outil pour partager , elles permettent à des marques d'être plus connu et d'avoir plus d'importance à tavers le monde donc si les exposants ne veulent pas être vus cela signifie qu'ils se suffisent de ce qu'ils ont ou peut être préfèrent ils être copiés grâce aux magazine ou leur propre site.

ND : Même les visiteurs avec une carte de presse ont eu des problèmes pour prendre des photos !

I attended M&O two years ago and took a lot of pics. I did have a press pass and they were sure to make sure I had one at the stands. But only one or two stands didn't allow me to take photos. Maybe they've tightened their rules this year. You're right, those shows are all about promotion, why don't they want to be promoted?

It is not just this show: the big Gift Show in Atlanta is very very strict about no pictures. New York is a bit more lax, although it is posted there too. I know, c'est ennuyeux...

Dear Melanie,
I agree 100 %.
When you are a designer, you MUST always be on your toes, looking forward to the NEXT thing anyway. At least that's my option. Keeping things a secret may be alluring for 2 seconds, but not a very smart way to make money.
