Working on it

I'm working on my christmas decoration .

Today I've done one of my window .

The 1st step was to use a piece of furniture , I bought and that I love

I love it because

it is very 50's

very glamour

and very Chantal Thomas' style

It is a big kind of sideboard in iron and glass and mirror

It is wonderful

You will just guess it as the picture is very hard to take

Around this piece ,I 've tried to choose so girlie and glamour things

detail , behind  the sideboard you can see a DG silk

Look at its wonderful iron leg and every glass shelves are very well cut with a special design , this piece of furniture was in a beautiful old fashionned " patisserie"

festive curtains

Like every 3 months I'm going to change the decoration and for christmas it is a special moment . I change every ambiance , every room to make them looking different and looking like christmas season

That is why I am a little bit far way from my blog but each step I'm thinking of you and I miss you

The first thing I've changed was the curtains in my modern bedroom

My mum and I made a pair of gilded linen curtains with cristal pendants sewed on it .

The pendants are all different and from the XIX th century

I'm sorry the pictures are not that good , I will try to post some more because I can tell you it is very lovely

Suspense

The phone rings

someone explains to you that he wants to sell some antiques , he has inherited an house , and he wants to empty it .

You drive your car to the address .. you look for the right door , try to park not too far ..

You are so excited

you imagine what you are going to find

what you are going to do with it

thanks to the sound of his voice , you think his family was an old "marseillaise" family , may be he owns some wonderful paintings or some little santons or some sailor 's antiques , things from a far away country

he opens the door , he is not what you have expected , your eyes try to find something

Going to buy antiques to someone's house is like a blind date ..

You try to be honest , to be the best you can be and in the other side is a mystery ....

Here is what is left after a life

a notebook , a tumbler and a litlle roses painting

I found it in an attic today and I'm telling you I don't sell the notebook ..It is a XIX handwriting notebook with poems , feelinds , stories , tales ..beautiful hand writing.

Christmas decoration

I'm starting to choose my christmas decoration for my show room

yes ..I know for you american guys , it is a little bit late ..but for me it is fine. Begining of next week , it will be christmas time in my little show room

I know the table in the window will be almost black with small silver snowflakes embroidered  in it

Pink power

Today , the day is rainy and sad as the sky is grey in our sunny Provence .

But thanks to a friends my day was pink ..

Yes ..a pink box of Ladurée 's macarons ..my friends are so sweet

Then I look around me and I realize even the fabrics were pink

Fashion designer in decoration

Nowadays, a lot of fashion designers are involved in decoration and design.

The last one is Jean Charles de Castelbajac who drew a pattern for Pierre Frey .

The name of the fabric is " il était une fois" ( once upon the time) Castelbajac lives in a colorful and meaningful world . he uses a lot colors and words above all calligraphy

Comme j'aimerais être sur le port de Cassis , au Soleil en train de manger quelques oursins avec des amis ..Juste partager un moment de bonheur .
